Some residents may have noticed that our trash collection receptacles are full. As of last Thursday, Dec. 9th, more than 400 sanitation workers in North Orange County went on strike. Areas affected include Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, and Anaheim.

The good news is that Republic Services (our vendor) and the union plan to resume talks Tuesday morning, Dec. 14th. Disneyland has been affected, too, and could have some major influence in resolving this issue quickly to satisfy both sides.

In the meantime, consider double bagging and make sure to close the trash bags very securely. Another one of our vendors, Strategic Sanitation Services, will continue to clean and neaten the enclosures as much as they can. They are not contracted to remove or empty the bins, but will monitor the bins for pick-up and update us with any new information.

Some residents may have noticed that our Back Gate is not working at the moment.

On Saturday, Nov. 20^th about 2:30pm, the closing mechanism failed.  Our vendor secured the gate with caution tape for the time being.

Due to the holidays, all of their techs are already booked for the week.  So repairs have been scheduled for early next week.

We will keep you updated as we go.

The Board would like to offer this update to all residents affected by the damaged mailboxes.  Today, Saturday, Oct. 2nd 2021, the vendor will be installing new mailboxes in the affected areas.  These should be completed today as well.

We are currently working with our vendor to install more specifically-located cameras in these areas.  Additionally, we are looking into adding more lighting where possible.  We were told that a crew hit several nearby complexes.  The Police were notified.

The local Post Office just confirmed that the new keys for the mailboxes will be available Tuesday 10/05/21 for pick-up. 

IMPORTANT:  You must present valid photo ID to pick up your mail.  We also suggest bringing proof of residence such as a utility bill or cable bill as back-up.

The Post Office is located just down the street on the corner of Stanford and Nutwood:
