Board of Directors/Management

The Lakeside Garden Grove Homeowners Association Board of Directors are volunteers who’ve been elected to serve and perform a range of duties.  Primary duties of the board members involve attending meetings and making decisions on HOA matters.  Board members are currently elected once a year and serve one-year terms. The meetings they attend are monthly, but can vary based on need.  Board members can call emergency meetings if business must be discussed outside their regular meetings, including property damage issues and residential safety.

• Three maximum Board Directors together – out of meetings
• All Homeowners are welcome to run for election to serve on the board
• Enforces HOA Rules, Regulations and bylaws
• Required to vote on how to interpret the rules
• Required to conduct general HOA business
• Responds to reports of violations
• Reviews collection of dues and management funds

Patrick TurnerPatrick T.

President

Patrick has served as “President” since September 2011.  His duties include:

• Represents the HOA Board before the residents
• Is authorized to sign contracts on behalf of the community
• Oversees the day-to-day administration of association
• Presides at all meetings
• Fields requests from residents with concerns or interests

 

Brett B.

Vice President

Brett has served on the Board since summer of 2021. His duties include:

• Performs duties of the president in his absence
• Serves on the architectural committee
• Serves as liaison with vendors when possible
• Serves on the architectural and landscape committees

 

Jill-HamblinJill H.

Secretary; Chairman Communications Committee

Jill has served as “Secretary” since March 2014.  Her duties include:

• Serves as chairman of the Communications Committee
• Oversees creation of monthly HOA Newsletter
• Maintains HOA website
• Approves minutes of meetings and official documents
• Serves on the architectural committee

 

patty picPatty S.

Treasurer; Communications Committee member

Patty has served as “Treasurer” since January 2017.  Her duties include:

• Oversees proper financial reports
• Serves on the architectural and landscape committees
• Reviews the budget
• Reviews quarterly income and expense statements
• Reviews operating and reserve accounts
• Serves as a Communications Committee member for newsletter and website

Mark, who has been with Optimum Property Management since 2013, serves as the Lakeside Garden Grove property manager. His duties include:

• Authorizes payment of association billing and invoices
• Oversees all day-to-day operations, contractors (vendors), project/action item implementation
• Serves as a liaison between the HOA board, owners and vendors
• Manages board meetings
• Ensure HOA compliance with State CID regulations, such as annual elections, budgets, audits and reserve study completions

• Coordinates any maintenance requests involving the HOA between homeowners, vendors and Mark Gardner
