Beautiful New Picture of Lakeside

Posted on December 31, 2021 by Lakeside HOA in News, Uncategorized

Our Board President, Patrick, took this beautiful picture within our complex.

A nice view of one of our ponds nestled between the dwellings.

A soft sunrise illuminates the leaves of the graceful tree.

And the warmth of the light just starting to emerge.

Within our city, Lakeside is still very unique.

Happy New Year!! Welcome 2022!

Twas the Night before Christmas

Posted on December 24, 2021 by Lakeside HOA in News, Uncategorized

… Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not
a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds
,
While visions of sugar
–plums danced in their heads;
And mamma in her kerchief, and I in my cap
,
Had just settled down for a long winter’s nap,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter
.
Away to the w
indow, I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new
–fallen snow
Gave the luster of mid
–day to objects below,
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reinde
er,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick
,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick
.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came
,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

“Now, Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer And Vixen
!
On, Comet! O
n Cupid! On, Donner And Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall
!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly
,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
,
So up to the house
–top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof
.
As I drew in my hand and was turning around
,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He
was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot
;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back
,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes
–how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His
cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow
,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth
,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath
;
He had a
broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf
,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself
;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
,
Soon gave me to know I ha
d nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work
,
And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk
,
And laying his finger aside of his nose
,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a wh
istle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle
.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight
,
Happy
Christmas To All, And To All A Good–night!

The Board would like to wish all residents a very safe and Merry Christmas!

Update – Trash Collection – Friday 12/24/21

Posted on December 24, 2021 by Lakeside HOA in News, Uncategorized

As some residents might have noticed, Republic Services was back on site today Friday 12/24/21 attending to all our trash bins and enclosures. Also, all the bins are back in the enclosures.

Please do not dispose of your Christmas tree until after Tuesday 12/28/21 to give Republic another round of pick-ups and get the trash levels back to normal. The bins are usually quite full after the holiday.

As a reminder, please remove all ornaments, decorations, stands, tinsels, nails, plastic and lights before disposing of them. And please make sure all trash is put inside the bin, and not left scattered around the bin. We want to keep our enclosures as clean as possible.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact our community manager, Mark Gardner, with Optimum Professional Property Management at (714) 508-9070 or email him at:  MGardner@optimumpm.com

Thank you for your patience, The Board.

Update – Trash Collection – Wednesday 12/22/21

Posted on December 22, 2021 by Lakeside HOA in News, Uncategorized

The Board would like to update all residents. Republic Services is sending trucks back out to different areas in the county to help with the trash overflow. In the meantime, we have contacted our vendor, Strategic Sanitation Services, to help clean up our trash enclosures.

They will be onsite tomorrow, Thursday 12/23/21. Three of the enclosures have the bins sitting just outside the enclosure area. So, it will be extremely helpful to get the extra trash back in the bins so the bins can then be moved back where they belong.

We ask all residents to please BAG ALL TRASH before disposing of it. This will help keep trash from scattering all over the place. By next week, we should be back on a more regular pick-up schedule.

Also, please do NOT dispose of your Christmas tree until after the bins have been emptied.  We need to get these areas back to normal first.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact our community manager, Mark Gardner, with Optimum Professional Property Management at (714) 508-9070 or email him at:  MGardner@optimumpm.com

Thank you for your patience, The Board.

Update – Trash Collection – Tuesday 12/21/21

Posted on December 21, 2021 by Lakeside HOA in News, Uncategorized

As many residents noticed today, Republic Services did make a round of trash pick-ups at each of our nine enclosures. However, much of the trash was left behind. We immediately called them and asked them to return and attend to the enclosures more thoroughly.

Now, it is a positive development that the bins were emptied. Nonetheless, too much trash remains. In all likelihood, the drivers are only contracted to empty the trash that’s actually inside the bins. So, we’ve reached out to our vendor, Strategic, who cleans up our enclosures. They will be by this week.

Within a short time, we should be back to our normal trash collection schedule.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact our community manager, Mark Gardner, with Optimum Professional Property Management at (714) 508-9070 or email him at:  MGardner@optimumpm.com

Thank you for your patience, The Board.

Update – Trash Collection – Mon 12/20/21

Posted on December 20, 2021 by Lakeside HOA in News, Uncategorized

As of this morning, Monday 12/20/21, Republic Services has not picked up our trash yet. The board spoke with both The City of Garden Grove and Republic Services last week, and was assured our complex would be picked up as soon as possible (estimating by this past weekend).

However, that did not happen. The Board just spoke with Republic Services where they promised to escalate our request. That’s what we were told last week. We find this unacceptable. We also just left a voicemail for the City Manager of Garden Grove regarding this matter.

The holidays are fast approaching, and our complex needs to be serviced immediately.

The Board wanted to update all residents, and will continue to follow up on this issue every day until it is resolved.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact our community manager, Mark Gardner, with Optimum Professional Property Management at (714) 508-9070 or email him at:  MGardner@optimumpm.com

Thank you for patience. The Board

New Update – Trash Collection – 12/16/21

Posted on December 16, 2021 by Lakeside HOA in News, Uncategorized

The Board would like to offer this update on the trash collection here at Lakeside.

As of yesterday, Wednesday 12/15/21, Republic Services has expanded its collection services throughout Garden Grove, with a focus on essential locations, such as healthcare, schools and food service.

As of today, Thursday 12/16/21, the negotiations between Republic Services and the workers are still continuing. Optimum has been calling the city of Garden Grove daily to ask them to get involved. However, the city has been non-responsive. The Board has tried calling the city as well, but have not been able to speak with a live body.

Today, the Board did speak with Republic Services regarding trash pick-up. We stressed that our trash is overflowing and has become a health hazard. Our complex is on their list for pick-ups, and we reminded them we have (9) trash enclosures in total that all need servicing.

We will be calling both the city of Garden Grove and Republic Services daily until this issue is resolved. In the meantime, please double-bag your trash if you can. We will offer a new update as soon as possible.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact our community manager, Mark Gardner, with Optimum Professional Property Management at (714) 508-9070 or email him at:  MGardner@optimumpm.com

Thank you for patience.
