Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q:  Who do I contact for what?

  • Police for Emergencies
  • Casitas for:
    • Parking safe-listing
    • Security concerns such as suspicious activity
  • Optimum Management for:
    • Common area plumbing issues
    • Gate Remotes
    • Keys for pools
    • Maintenance Issues
    • Meeting Minutes – Copies
    • Parking spot assignment
    • Dues and Payment concerns
    • Violations – either received or to report

Q.  How do I buzz a guest into the front gate?

Lakeside changed the entry system which now connects the front call box to either a land line or cell phone. Fobs are now used to enter all pedestrian gates.  Instructions are below:

KEY FOBS:

Key fobs will activate all pedestrian gates including those at the pool and entry gates.  You just pass the fob over the gate’s receiver identified by a little red light.  You will hear a “click” as the gate lock is released. PLEASE CLOSE THE GATE BEHIND YOU to prevent unwanted visitors.

CAR REMOTES:

The remote is only for vehicle gates, and has two buttons:

Button #1 – Opens the South gate and Rear gate.

Button #2 – Opens the North gate

When a guest wants to contact a resident, they will look for either the name or unit number on the directory. Once found, they will push a button which will ring the phone number provided by the resident.  If the resident wishes to grant access, they will press “9” to open the South Gate, and “5” to open the North Gate.  It does not matter if it is a land line or cell phone.  Also, if a number needs to be changed for any reason, please contact Mark Gardner at Optimum at (714) 508-9070 x227 or email him at mgardner@optimumpm.com.

Q.  What insurance is provided by the HOA?

General Liability Insurance (for common areas only)

  • Property Insurance (for common areas only)
    • May not cover homeowner property, personal property or personal injuries
  • Fidelity Bond

Homeowners are responsible for their own:

  • Accident Insurance within their home
