Due to California’s stay-at-home order, we have all had to make adjustments in our daily lives. The Board recognizes that we have more residents on site during the day than normal. We also hope everyone is staying safe and continues to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.
The good news is that many of our vendors are still able to service Lakeside as before. Also, we are working with the County of Orange to verify when the pools can be re-opened. We do not have any new information at this time, but will update everyone as soon as we do. Summer is here and we want everyone to enjoy it.
We just finished installing two benches and lighting near the large pool creating a little park area. We actually saved thousands of dollars this way avoiding costly stream repairs. We believe the park will add value to our community as well as save us on future water & electric bills.
Additionally, we will be adding cameras to the park and large pool area, outside the small pool, and more in the parking perimeter. The cameras are also an essential tool for our patrol service.
Later this year, we will be scheduling the re-sealing of the parking asphalt as well as re-striping and re-numbering the carport & guest spots. However, we are first working to repair the carport roofs, install new carport lighting, replace some of the mesh, and also repair many of the wood posts. It’s somewhat of a process, but we are working to get this done as quickly as possible. Making repairs as needed helps us save money in the long run.
We are hoping our next Board Meeting on Monday, June 15th will be held in person at the church versus conducting it remotely. We will advise on that as soon as we can. Again, we hope everyone is staying safe at this time and we look forward to seeing you all very soon.
Thank You, The Board
