The Board would like to offer this update to all residents. As of now, California has allowed our pool areas to be open. However, we are still working to repair the leak at the jacuzzi in the small pool area. Our vendor is working to resolve that issue as quickly as possible. While at the pools, we still encourage residents to exercise common sense practices such as washing your hands, staying home if you’re sick, and physically distance when possible.
Regarding the landscape, we will be transitioning to a new vendor in the fall. We are hoping to shore up many of the areas that need to be addressed. Two of our biggest challenges are always the pine needles and dry soil. So, planting the right material is crucial. Of course, water usage is always a concern. This will inform us on choosing more of a drought-resistant palette while adding as much color as we can … especially in our park and entrance areas. We also ask as a gentle reminder to not allow your dog or puppy to relieve themselves on the grass. Maintaining the color vibrancy and overall health of all our plant material is vital.
Due to covid, we had to delay applying the sealant coat to our parking areas. However, we are looking to schedule that project later this year. We will also be re-painting the numbers & re-striping our carport areas. Plenty of notice will be given to all residents beforehand. Additionally, we have a couple of other projects slated for next year. We always encourage homeowners to attend our board meetings. They will occur the third Monday night of each month back at the church. See the “calendar” section of this website.
Lastly, it is with a sad heart that we let all residents know of the passing of our board member, Jerry Carter. Late last winter, Jerry passed away at home. He was an honored veteran who served our great country with distinction. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a sharp wit. He loved living at Lakeside, and will be greatly missed. Brett Bolich, one of our homeowners, has volunteered to join the Board in Jerry’s absence.
Jerry, above all else, was a very kind, sweet and generous person. We hope those of you who knew him will remember him fondly.
