The Board would like to offer this update to all residents …
As of this month, we have begun our annual stream cleaning. The fish are “on vacation.” The vendor checks our pumps & filters, and the stream beds. They still have more areas to finish up, but will be done soon.
Some residents have noticed near building 10511 and 10521 the stream beds are empty. Our vendor discovered cracks in the concrete stream bed caused by the roots of the nearby pine trees. As much as we love our beloved trees, three of the pine trees will have to be removed to prevent further damage. We hope to have this area completed before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Additionally, the board will be checking other areas in the complex with regard to both the landscape and trees. We will be reviewing our tree trimming schedule soon as well.
Due to California’s covid restrictions, many residents might be choosing to stay home for the Thanksgiving holiday. We urge everyone to please respect the parking rules, and have only Guests park in the assigned Guest Parking areas. Next year (hopefully in the Spring), we will be doing a re-seal on the asphalt, re-numbering and re-striping the parking spots. We also ask that every resident be mindful to dump all trash into the trash receptacles. People are just tossing their trash over the door or wall … and the trash lands everywhere but in the dumpster. This will attract unwanted rodents.
Although 2020 has been challenging, our complex remains in good shape financially. This is due in part to the excellent work of Mark Gardner, our property manager, and to Optimum Property Management for their steadfast attention to handling the many issues that arise. Please know that there is a lot of time and effort spent behind the scenes making it possible for Lakeside to maintain its obligations. We encourage all homeowners to attend at least one or two board meetings, and to ask questions. It’s the best way to stay informed.
The Board would like to take the opportunity to wish all residents a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
